Sleepless in Seattle

To be honest, I don't even really like this movie. But it's one of the first things I thought of when I sat down to write this post.

So what's it really about? Most of you already know, but oh well.

JESSE GOT AN INTERNSHIP WITH MICROSOFT GAMES IN SEATTLE!

Okay, so it's really Redmond, but that's like saying "Bountiful" when really all they want to hear is "Salt Lake."

Huzzah, huzzah! He starts June 14th so we'll head out there like a week before. They even have completely furnished, corporate housing we get to stay in. Yes, we still pay a ridiculous rent, but hey, it's going to be nice. He's going to be working with a team of interns to create a playable video game for the XBox. I've always told Jesse my childhood dream was to live on the Puget Sound. Can you believe it's actually going to happen? I may not be the marine biologist I thought I'd be, but I still get to live there for a few weeks.

Bliss. Absolute bliss.

Oh, the whale picture? It's a whale from the J Pod--a residential group of whales in the Puget Sound. Nothing makes me happier than those whales. Well, and my family. But SO the whales. What can top God's amazing creations?? I can't wait to see them again!

I love U takes a whole new meaning.

Remember that crazy brilliant twin brother I have? Well, I'm posting this
for all the world to know:

Stephen got accepted to the University of Utah MEDICAL SCHOOL!!

Stephen, you're AMAZING. But we always knew that, right?
Love you brother. Way to go. :)

It's a turtle.

These are the baby shoes I made. I think they turned out pretty cute! Yes you can see the white thread inside the shoe. I didn't have any black and Abby was already asleep so I couldn't go buy more. So definitely a first attempt. Now I know how to make them better and cuter next time! I'm excited to try them again. They took me a couple hours, but I think next time around won't take so long. Oh, I still need to add an embellishment. But I was too anxious to share. Huzzah!

Abby got a sweet pink harness backpack from her Grandma Larsen yesterday. She LOVES backpacks and this one is extra special because it has a dry erase board built in. How cool is that? And how fabulous that it's a harness so I can put her on a leash! ;) I say that just because I know Jesse will cringe. He thinks it's abuse. I think it's brilliant for places like airports, etc. So here's Abbs-cadabs playing with her dry erase board. The BEST part is what she drew.

Check out that picture! The pink one. She said it was a turtle. I didn't help her at all, I swear. But it clearly has arms, eyes, a nose, and a mouth. And as she was drawing them she told me what each thing was so I know that's what she intended. I don't know if it was a fluke drawing, or if she's really figuring it out, but I thought it was AWESOME! I swear--No help from me at all.

I'm ornery. That's all there is to it.

When I am queen of the world, women won't get winded just by being pregnant. I haven't moved from the couch and yet I can't breathe because this baby is completely squishing my diaphragm. So yes, friends, I am barely showing, but it's because this baby is all inside and making it impossible to sit and breathe. Some days I just wish she was all on the outside and I looked like two pigs, fighting under blanket. BLARG!

And I refuse to do dishes. And yet I know that in ten minutes I'll stand up to finally do them. I just have so many cute projects I want to do, but by the time I finish the stuff I NEED to do, I don't have the energy to complete the stuff I WANT to do.

You know those days when you're exhausted and your whole lower body is in pain and your child has just pushed every button possible so that you want to almost strangle them? You know those days? It's been one of those days.

But in attempt to counter the negativity I have just spilled, here are a couple pictures of my sister with Abigail. I giggle in delight when I see these. My sister just cut her hair from below her shoulders to this super awesome, chic Audrey Hepburn style. I LOVE IT. How many 15 year-olds do you know that are mature enough for this? Just Maryn. She's beautiful, artsy, fashion-savvy, brilliant, and amazing. And Abby's best friend. LOVE my sisters.

Abby's family prayer

Dear heavenly father,
Thank thee for this day.
And papa and mama.
And Abigail and stories.
And Abigail and drink my milk.
(Pause)
And poop.
(bends over to RIP one)
In the name….

We started laughing so hard we couldn't breathe! Abby was seriously concerned that we were crying. Oh man...I love this babe.
